Presidents Meet - Plans for both organizations

We enjoyed a most pleasant 2 ½ hrs with the President of United Theological Seminary Dr. Wendy J. Deichmann  http://www.united.edu/#jans_2,  before we sent her off to enjoy some Florida beach time!

We had a delightful time getting to know each other and; exploring options.

She told us about their structure and her need to fill the positions of Dean (which should happen within weeks), as well as Director of the institute.

We told her we insist on being self sustaining. She will be sending us their course descriptions so we can structure our offerings to fit into their protocol.

We concurred that it is important to allow time for her to discuss our project with her team (once her new Dean is in place) in order to insure their support.

She gave us permission to announce that we are in dialogue concerning offering a variety of seminary level certification classes for laity, perhaps as early as this fall, with further consideration of eventual classes for accreditation.

We both were gratified with what transpired, and we are looking with eager anticipation to the next steps forward toward our mutual goal.
